Dark Clouds, Pumping Waves

The waves have been pumping non stop lately here in the Telo Islands. For the past week, the sun has decided to hide behind some ominous cloud cover, although on the plus side, it’s been offshore and pumping with a lot of smiles and happy guests!

Max’s Right, our wave out the front of the lodge has been the most consistent with our little scotchy boat taking the guests in and out of the lagoon all day. With a strong north/northwest wind blowing quite strongly this week, it’s been hard to leave pumping waves out the front of the lodge to go to our other surf breaks. Although that’s not to say we’ve had a few fun sessions at The Bubble and Max’s Left yesterday. We’ve given it our best this trip — fishing as much as we can after sessions and some trawling around the islands with some nice cold Bintangs to go with it.

The remainder of the trip we have a strong southwest swell hanging around for a week on a slow decline, which will see much more of what we have had over the past week. With the swell pulsing today and a nice north east wind blowing, we are heading to GT’s to try our luck.
