Core Score!
Best thing about Pegasus Lodges is the love our clients have for this salty endeavour we call surfing. This is the passion that gets us fuelling up our boats at 5:00 in the morning, hunting out our favourite island corners and reef passes, all in the name of delivering the stoke our guests came here for.
The recent TIL trip that wrapped up mid-April is a great example of that hunger for surf. These guys are core as they come, let’s meet ‘em.
Klaus and Bjorn from Germany. Return guests who know where to sit for the good ones. Great mates, with Bjorn playing the straight man to Klaus’s jokey persona. Bjorn won’t forget his steep and deep drops at SOLID Schoolies anytime soon BTW.
Pete McMahon. Mellow legend, unfazed by anything, stepped up to a nine footer on guide Wobby’s advice and he killed it.
Dave Bedell. Dave’s 5th time at the lodge, dedicated to the super early sessions which paid off Big Time.
Chris Bradley: A genuine old school Californian who’s visited more the 60 countries in his life. Rode an interesting, Hawaiian-inspired bodyboard – fibreglass with fixed big twin fins.
Mike Tunnik. Returned with his mate Dave, solid fella all round!
We also were stoked to host Jane and Damian Gardner from Northern California. Damian’s 72 and charges like he’s 21. Jane wears a constant smile and is accomplished at her yoga and her art. This delightful couple are doing back-to-back trips at Telo Lodge and we’re honoured to host ‘em.
The surf wasn’t too shabby, hovering around head high for much of the trip, with Kindies being the mainstay, but the highlight session must have been LeBa – almost four hours of magic with not a soul around.
It’s a reflection of the group’s focus that we didn’t even take our customary Telo tour, it was surf, surf and more surf! No complaints here!
