The airport you will want to fly into is Sao Jorge (airport code SJZ) on Sata/Azore Airways. There are no direct flights from Lisbon or the USA to SJZ, but you can do a stopover in either PDL or TER. Flights run daily in and out of Lisbon, but only a few days a week from JFK or BOS.

Once you arrive in SJZ, you’ll grab a taxi and either head straight to the property or make a stop at the supermarket. When you reach Fajã dos Cubres, you will be met by a member of staff who will take your luggage and shopping to the property by quad bike. The best way to reach the property is on foot. It is a magnificent walk with breathtaking views along the way (Unesco Biosphere Reserve). Well worth the effort!

If flights don’t work for your schedule, there is a ferry and private speedboat option. Feel free to reach out to our support team to assist with scheduling this.

Each house is fully equipped with a cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and sandwich maker. There is also a BBQ in each house, as well as firewood and firelighters. 

Yes! We have cots, highchairs, and board games. We do recommend bringing a carrier for infants as the ground getting to the property is rocky.

Yes! There are plenty of breaks around the area, but the water is chilly, so we recommend bringing a wetsuit. If you plan on bringing a surfboard, you must contact the airlines to inform them of any extra equipment, as it is first come, first serve.

We recommend bringing around 100 Euros per day as none of the local restaurants accept credit cards at this time.

You can dine at one of the local restaurants around Faja do Belo and expect to spend around 25 euros/per person. The supermarkets and other restaurants and stores on the other side of the island do accept cards. 

Plenty! Canyoning, surfing, rock climbing, fishing, diving, you name it! We have a list of contacts we would be happy to share with you so you can coordinate some adventures. 

We also have a sauna at the property. The sauna can hold 4 people, but we do require reservations so we don’t have any overlapping. We will deliver a robe to your door prior to your reservation.

Yes, we recommend bringing a raincoat, hiking boots, a backpack for hiking, and a water bottle. We also recommend bringing water shoes if you have them as the beaches are rocky. Suncream is always recommended as well!
