Once your booking at the Telo Island Lodge is confirmed, we are more than happy to help arrange airfare and associated accommodations as you make your way to our surf resort.
Flights typically are routed through either Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or Singapore. From each location, you are then flown to the north Sumatran city of Medan, Indonesia, where you will be met on arrival by our representative at the Medan airport. Depending on your arrival time, you will either be taken to the JW Marriott for an overnight stay or taken directly to our Cessna Grand Caravan charter aircraft for departure to the Telo Island Lodge.
Each of the below items are available onsite for an additional fee. Please inquiry about pricing and options on booking:

If you do not wish to use any of our ECOBOARDS, this depends entirely on how much excess baggage you are willing to pay for! Most people bring 2 boards. The normal board you ride at home is fine and perhaps a slightly larger semi-gun. If you are going to bring an extra board we suggest a replacement for the board you will use the most as it is not uncommon to break boards. Remember to bring extra leg ropes, cloth covers to protect your boards in the boats and tropical surf wax.
Besides yourself and your surfboards, we recommend you bring the following items:
All outlets accept a 2 Round Pin Europe/Asia Plug Adapter.
Yes, you can be contacted on your mobile phone as long as you have global roaming activated. You can also be contacted on our satellite phone or use it to make outbound calls (fees apply). In addition, you can be contacted through your regular email address; the Internet access is available.
Yes, with prior notification (minimum two weeks) we can accommodate most dietary requests.
Our aim is to spend the majority of our trips surfing with just the other guests. This is not always possible, but there are plenty of waves in the area and due to our extensive experience we know how to be in the right place at the right time while still avoiding major crowds. While it is inevitable that we will come across other surfers from time to time you can rest assured you will get plenty of waves.
